Its purpose is to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the people of Asia and Europe through intellectual, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges.

Article 19

ARTICLE 19 envisages a world where people are free to speak their opinions, to participate in decision-making and to make informed choices about their lives

For this to be possible, people everywhere must be able to exercise their rights to freedom of expression and freedom of information. Without these rights, democracy, good governance and development cannot happen.

I have helped them develop and deliver their input to the post 2015 development goals. I have also helped run the Friends of Governance for Sustainable Development which Article 19 act as a secretariat for.

AVIVA

AVIVA have been at the forefront of the push for companies to have to produce their environment, social and governance reports or explain why not as a listing requirement on stock exchanges.

I have been helping them with the work at the UN to try and secure a commitment by member states to promote this in their countries. This included being on the expert advisory committee for the President of the UN General Assembly's report on strategies to finance the SDGs and Climate Action.

Collaborative Institute for Climate Oceans and Security

The Collaborative Institute for Oceans, Climate and Security (CIOCS) is distinguished by its unique focus on the intersections of oceans, climate and security, and the resulting policy and management significance.
